AlinO shower tray forms the sloped foundation, a secondary sub-floor, for the shower stall. It is made with 2.75 lb/CFT building-grade Elastomeric Polystyrene (EPS) and can be laid using modified thin-set mortar, on wood, plywood, and concrete base surfaces. To adhere better the bottom of the trays are made abrasive. One of its key features is its Fabrication with a 2% (0.25” difference at every 12”) slope so water-flow may naturally gravitate towards the drain outlet. This eliminates tedious and time consuming mortar-based slope formation. The shower tray comes ready with a pre-cut lining so access to drain outlet and installation are less cumbersome. The top surface is laminated with a Tile-ready AlinO-Gard moisture barrier membrane. It is available in a few different layouts where drain location could be at the centre, off centred or by the wall/end. Given its pliability a shower tray can be customized (using utility knife or jigsaw) easily or extended by adding extension trays.
Shower Curb:
A rectangular cube made with 2.75 lb/CFT buildinggrade EPS material. It comes in two different lengths
32” and 48”. Like our Shower Tray, it is slightly (2%)
sloped and laminated with AlinO-Gard, the Tile-Ready
water-resistant membrane and for better adhesion, the
bottom surface is made abrasive.
